Geoffrey Kercsmar established the firm’s forerunner, The Kercsmar Law Firm, in 2006 after leaving Snell & Wilmer LLP, the largest law firm in the Southwest. With a singular focus on business litigation, the firm quickly grew by adding other big-firm attorneys interested in providing clients with focused attention at a better value. In 2008, the firm became Kercsmar & Feltus PLLC when Todd Feltus, then a partner at Snell & Wilmer, was convinced that the firm offered its clients a better model. In 2021, the firm recognized the contributions of firm member Gregory Collins by adding him to the firm’s name.
The firm continues to practice as a business litigation boutique. This singular focus has fostered an innovative approach that has been repeatedly recognized by independent rating organizations and other lawyers and peer groups. All three of the firm’s three managing members have been recognized as “Southwest Super Lawyers” in their practice areas, an honor bestowed on less than five percent of practicing attorneys. All three are “AV Preeminent” rated by Martindale Hubbell. And several of the firm’s other attorneys have also been named “Rising Stars” by Super Lawyers, demonstrating that the firm’s future remains bright.
